Title: Seeking electric heater recommendation for cedar tub
Post by: fishnaked on November 04, 2022, 06:05:34 pm
I have an underwater Snorkel wood stove heater now in my cedar tub. I enjoyed this tub immensely in the first yr or two but don't use it anymore because of the effort required to heat the thing. And now that I'm older with more aches and pains, I want to soak more now than ever. I don't want to give up this tub though. Just the wood stove heater!

Snorkel as well as other companies offer electric heaters. But I'm overwhelmed with all the lingo, differences, etc. Most if not all come as packages with the package containing a filter. Do I need a filter? I got by fine without one before. And I'm on a tight budget.

At any rate, can someone recommend a specific heater for me that won't break the bank in initial costs and operating costs?

Do yourself a favor and just ditch the wood thing for a real hot tub. You’ll use it more often and you will never look back.

Was hoping I'd actually get something that was helpful.....

Not everyone likes wood. I can respect that. Not everyone wants plastic either. I like wood tubs, for a number of reasons.

Anyone here with an appreciation of wood that could offer some insight, or have any ideas?
