Title: Worlds smallest spa store
Post by: spaman-- on November 28, 2005, 09:29:06 pm
I was on my way up to a local factory today to take a tour and happened upon the worlds smallest spa store. I peaked in the window with my greasy hands and face pressed on the glass only to see the worlds ugliest spa salesjerk inside. I swear this store is 10' x 30' . BTW I will give you one guess who the spa jerk was. LMAO!

TYou should have gone in, let him make his presentation and tell him "no thanks, I really don't want a spa that isn't insulated" and watched for the steam to rise.

10 x 30?

You mean a garage?

I thought there was at least a showroom with ONE tub in it? plus a parts desk, supplies and accesories?  A help center?
A repair truck?
Spare parts inventory?
At least a rack of homemade photoshoped pamphlets?

Pics of this would have been fun.

When I read 10’ X 30’ – all I could think about was a jail cell.  I know a jail cell is much smaller, but it just came to my head.  I remember him saying once he had a ‘spa farm.’  Maybe that is where he keeps all the spas.  When I hear the word ‘spa farm,’ I think of a junkyard of spas much like the Phoenix factory.  Just some random thoughts.

A little more ranting…  I was thinking about why his showroom is so small, he doesn’t need a large showroom due to his large volume of Internet sales.

Nah, then he'd be a hypocrite, considering his anti gun rant the other day.

He is the most wacked out spa salesman in the industry (commonly referred to as The Spa Deceptionist). He buys a middle of the road spa, adds some aluminum foil and a fan to it, and then resells it on-line for about 20% more than the original price (with a promise for a warranty).

He is a Magical Being, the Elven King!  He is an alchemist extraordinaire!  He can turn ordinary spas into one's made of iron pyrite using only aluminum and a wondrous wind generator!  He is the Protector of the Ignorant and is their undisputed leader!  He goes by many names, but we reverse reverently refer to him as The Flim Flam Man!

BTW, if you order a spa from him it guarantees you a seat in the spaceship that is coming to earth to pick up Jim and his followers. An SCF gets you in first class.

It is really funny  ;D  reading all your comments.  You do know that I am not against guns, was raised with them, expert shot with pistol and rifle.   Took up skeet shooting and loved it.  I just don't see the fascination with assault rifles.  I guess it is a macho small "member" paranoid sort of thing. ;D

Our store is 16 by 60.  I think it is the smallest hot tub store I have seen.  We also have facilities up at the "spa farm" about 3 miles north with spas to test.

When we became mostly catalog order, all we needed was a place to stack them on trailers and deliver them.  So, we got 2 1/2 ac of land.

It is by cutting the overhead that we are able to sell a 20,000 spa for 11,470.   Or a 12K spa for 6 K.  If you want to see mediocre stuff go to spamans store.

Excuse me??  I own a few of those so called "assault rifles" and I'm not macho and I sure don't have a member to be paranoid about.

Neither do I. I'm about as likely to become an NRA member as Terminator is likely to be a cast member of The View but there are things I do that others would have little interest in so to each his own.

My tailbone is bruised from falling off my chair after reading that one.

Get real. You take a Phoenix spa that sells for $8k, add some aluminum foil and a fan to it, eliminate the local warranty service and somehow convine a few conspiracy theorists that it's a gem and sell it for $11k. That isn't enough of a joke but now you're trying to tell us it's a $20k spa. Unless that is 24K gold foil you're using GIVE US A BREAK!!!
Title: Re: Worlds smallest spa store
Post by: Brewman on December 02, 2005, 01:03:26 am
It would have to be an awful lot of 24k gold foil.
Maybe that's the secret, to use gold foil instead of tinfoil?

Now I gotta ask, since there have been so many others- is this a legitimate Mr.A, or is it someone posing as him?

Or does it even matter?

I think it's great that he is allowed to post someplace other than his own site so we can say what's on our mind. Instead of going to his site and only be allowed to post what he wants the board to see. Here he can get his dopey butt verbaly kicked for all to see.

I'd like to know what makes a rifle an "assault" rifle. If I hit you with a stick does it become an assault stick?

Anything that looks scary to the liberals is an assault rifle.  They tried to define assault rifles when that  "Assault Weapons Ban" law went into affect 12 years ago.  Love to know how many millions of taxpayer money went into that fiasco.  Really had in impact on crime.  NOT.
It would be an interesting study to estimate how many billions of dollars have been wasted on ineffective gun control laws since they started filling up the lawbooks with them.

How do you arrive  the $20,000 figure?  If you are going to toss out  such eye catching numnbers, please explain and break down this estimate for us. Otherwises it's complete BS.

I bet he's using the "Suggested Retail Price" model there.
I don't see why he doesn't say they're worth $30,000.  Then the people who buy his spas can save $19,000.

He accidentally banned himself from his own site again.
He needs to post somewhere until someone unbans him and he can go back to deleting posts from his own forum.
IF this is really the genuine JA, any bets on how long it take this ID to get banned?

That's my point exactly. But in an effort to have an intteligent conversation, and allow him to explain fully and clearly how he arrives at this figure, will enlighten us all as well as allow JA to illustrate his understanding of spa's, esp, the business modesl behind producing such a product. This will also (for me) indicate perhaps how he arrives at other figures that he has tossed around.

JA?

I had my suspicions.  A-N-O-R-O-C is CORONA spelled backwards.  Corona is an inferior product that costs an exhorbinant amount of money.  Therefore, by juxtaposing the fact that you sell an inferior product at exhorbinant prices, it all makes perfect sense.

That won't happen as long as I have moderator priveledges, or it won't be allowed to continue when it does happen.  He has been banned by most, perhaps eventually all spa message boards and for good reason.   While he has improved his PR skills, he is still a snake in the grass.  For every message you see him post he sends a lot of private email messages that are very mean, unfounded and in my opinion, the sign a of a sick mind. As I said he is learning to improve his public image by what he posts online and is getting even better at portraying himself as a victim.  He has been given may chances in some forum, but the colors always show true. Since free speech is a guideline but not a requirement here and on most online formats I don't see that changing.

Allowing him back wouldn't work.  Even if he could behave for a few posts, which I seriously doubt, he'd be baited very quickly, and his true self would come shining thru, prompting you to ban again.
Why go thru the bother when the outcome is a given.
