My husband is 6'4" and 240lbs. I am 5'7" and my kids are tall. I sat in a 7 person spa at Galvin Pools in Orange CT and saw that even though there were 7 seats, there was no way 7 pairs of legs could have fit in the tiny circle at the bottom. I'd like to buy a hot tub soon as we just finished the separate platform for it off of our deck.
Thanks!
Susannah

I'm sure there are larger tubs out there but the Sundance Maxus is a very large tub and worth taking a look at
-
You should probably wet test before you buy. Have you looked at the Grandee?

HI Susannah!
Check out the Sundance Maxxus as well. Great spa! Make sure to Wet Test before you buy... :)

I think my Epic is a pretty large tub. I think configuration of seating is also important...the large footwell makes the Epic roomy for it's size

Re: What is the largest hot tub?
I think I found it. This is a 20'L x 8'W x 4.5'H swim spa. It's actually remarkably cheap at $11,500. On a more serious note, what dealers are in your area?

the sundance maxxus is a very large deep tub. I looked at it when it first came out and I loved the depth.
I went with an Arctic Tundra, which is also a deep tub. Two of the four captains chairs are deep seats which accomodates and tall person. The other two still deep seats however a little higher, which is nice for shorter people. Also has 3 cool down seats and lift on floor for up to 2 to 3 people. I have never had a situation where I required this much seating but still it is an option.
The tub is very deep at 38 1/4" and is worth taking a look at.
I would say for tall people that it would narrow down to the arctic tundra and sundance Maxxus. These are two that I wet tested. Every brand has once that they will recommend but these would be my two choices, in fact they were with me at 5'10" and the wife 6', I know hold the amazon comments.

The Hyrdopool 1038 seat about 12 people
Calspa has multiple moulds for a tub that measures 93x120x39.5
as long as you buy a tub in the 8' range and is 38" deep or more inside you should have no problem fitting a fair amount of people

I have to vote for my spa...
LA Spa, Paradise H-2
It holds 650 gallons, has six seats and two lounge seats...8 total.
The 3 pumps provide a lot of power to a plethera of jets.
It has full body (from neck to feet) massage.
There's no playing footies, because it's large enough!
Tub Dimesion: approx. 8' x 11' retangle
I wet tested the Sundance Maxxus and I preferred the ergonomic seats of the LA Spas. Jet power was comparable. Jet placement was superior in the LA Spa.

Wow Bama!! I had no idea your tub was this big. :o I think you take the cake.

That would be my tub! For $90 extra, we had the upper right corner (as per photo) converted to shoulder and neck jets just like the other corner.
The lower lounge seat (as per photo) is my favorite seat.
I have photos posted somewhere on here, but I'll try again to post.

Coleman 480......wide open footwell....seating is deep......jet distribution is great........If you want a lounge then a 481 will fit you.

Thats the biggest one I have ever seen in person, it was fire engine red with chrome jets. Nice looking, but insanely huge.

In the "large" but not "massive" category (depending on your perspective), I'd say the Grandee is a good bet. My hubby's 6'3", and it's plenty deep, plus has a large footwell area, meaning lots of leg room. It's also more of an "open concept", meaning that if your hips/shoulders/etc are wide, you don't tend to feel pinched into a seat.
It's also got a cool down seat that's FLAT and doubles as steps in/out. To me, that's important, as I really don't care to try getting in or out of a tub using a molded seat type surface.
Best of luck in your search!

You know, considering the higher end HS and Sundances are pushing that price point, without knowing too much about a swim spa, If my budget and layout allowed for it, I'd take a serous look at something like that. I think there are some models out there that offer a fairly decent "spa exepreince (jets, seating) while having the work out area as well.
I haven't a clue on what the higher end models cost, or heating, (not to mention just the cover) but D1 offers a line of these behomouths....

I'm with you. If I could afford it and I had the space that would be ideal for me. I'd be able to work on my 6% body fat and enjoy spatopia at the same time. ;) ;D

That mostly open seating would make it possible to find somewhere in the tub to massage about every muscle. (Thats one thing I like about my tub) (a tiny 92x92" ;)

its supper deap and besides the four corner seats, the middle seats can easily acomodate 2 sexy [glow]ladies[/glow].
As fun as it may be, I'd suggest keeping the pooches out of the water. Can't be good for your filter.

they 'crawl up in there and look like a couplea big ol' hogs'? *ROTFL* ;D :D Yeeeeeee doggy, you southern boys got some of the silliest terms I've ever heard!

You're still posting here? I thought you'd be camped out in front of the T.V. already! You've only got 5 hours left of pre-game coverage- get going!

I'll probably have the laptop beside me tonight and check posts during the commercials. I see your in the Time Warner area of Columbus! I'm heading home to warm up the DLP-HD now. Does Time Warner carry FOX-HD?

Paradise H2
(http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r165/tileman_photos/paradiseh2_img-1.jpg)
They look almost identical.
-
Why Not,
I didn't know about the Bimini or I may have tried it on for size!
I like the idea of both lounge seats having full leg jets as in the Bimini.
However, I like the more open footwell of the Paradise H-2.
You can't see the shoulder jets on the Paradise H-2, but they are there.
I wonder if the Bimini has them, and they are hidden, as well?
-
Just thought I would dig this thread up from the grave... Is there anything bigger than the Artesian Bimini? it looks like the bimini doesnt have as good of a warranty as their top of the line spas....

Coast spas Mirage is just a touch bigger.

we actually looked at the coast mirage this past weekend. The same dealer also makes custom tubs and we found one called Colossus, 137"x95.5"x44" (without cabinet) Seats 10+ 1500 gallons. lol
