Title: Too Cold Error
Post by: CodyWrye on January 28, 2019, 08:48:35 pm
Hello my hot tub has recently started displaying a TOO COLD error message and running pretty much constantly. The confusing part is the temperature read 100 degrees F. Does anybody have any idea why this would be or how to fix it?

Are all of the jets open and diverter valves centered? Let it run.

Yes the juts are on and seem to be running fine. I do not know what diverter valves are. I've let it run for about 24hrs straight and still get the same message. Eventually the heat starts displaying as ---- instead of a real number.

What is your outside air temp? Maybe it is sensing that and running to keep form freezing?

But the code on the display says heater malfunction or something? Maybe the freeze sensor is faulty? Upstream from the pump there is a freeze sensor. Freeze prevention sensor, if the water before the pump gets lower than........35-40d it starts a pump.

Heater still working?

Outside temp is very cold, but this has been happening for days and did happen last winter when it was just as cold. The water gets hot so yeah the heater is working, it just never realizes that the water is warm enough I guess?

Somebody is coming tomorrow to look at it (hopefully)

I've seen this error before - but only when first starting up then it goes away after 30 minutes.
