Title: Only one side of suction fittings working?
Post by: jamiho on February 16, 2019, 02:22:25 pm
I got a refurbished 2007 Marquis Destiny a little over a year ago.  So far things have been fine, though I am still perfecting keeping the water nice and clear.

Recently I noticed when I was in the tub that the suction in the foot well was noticeably working on the left hand side (I put my hand over the guard and could feel the suction) but on the right hand side when I put my hand over the suction guard I couldn't feel any suction.

Anyone know what could be causing this and how it could be fixed? Or is it even a problem?  I read in my manual that "It is normal for the flow rates of the suction fittings to vary from strong to barely noticeable."

Thanks for any advice you can provide.

If that tub has 1 jet pump those suctions are 'split' and tied into that 1 single pump so 1 of them will def. have a more noticeable 'suction' feeling when putting your hand up to it

Thanks.  According to the manual is has two jet pumps, though.

Still nothing to worry about.  Depending on the way they are plumbed there can easily be no discernible suction out of one or more auxiliary intakes.

Great!  "Nothing to worry about" is an answer I like!  Thanks,

Yes nothing to worry about. They are designed to work mostly when the filter is clogged.
