Hello All
Arctic Spa Salt is very expensive. ($100)
Is there any disadvantage of using regular pool salt ($10)?
Thank you

Anyone who owns a salt system spa. Do u use regular pool salt or something special for your spa?

I'm in process of getting Arctic Spa. I asked this question to my dealer if I can use Epsom salt in the spa. I'm expecting his answer today. BTW .. he mentioned the price of salt as $24.99 for a bucket & not $100.

Epsom salt is a different than pool salt.
Pool salt - 99+% pure salt (Sodium Chloride) in most cases -> good for a salt system

Arctic Spa Salt is Dead Sea salt blend - mostly Sodium Chloride.

Also a note from Arctic spa : :):):)
"Use of salt other than Arctic Pure sea salt blend will damage the components and void the warranty. The Arctic Pure blend has been developed to protect Onzen components from damage and the use of alternative salt blends will be easily detected by technicians."
Epsom Salt is "Magnesium Sulfate". Not sure if it is good for a salt system.
