http://www.nature2.com/whatis.asp

With Nature 2 you put a cartridge containing silver in your filter, run your ozonator, and put in MPS before each soak.  Then you shock once a week with dichlor.  I actually use the HotSpring version.  They call it "Everfresh" or something.

Now, the "chlorine police" here will tell you that this isn't safe, but it's worked pretty well for me.

However, my tub is used by my wife and I only, and only 4 - 5 times a week.  On the rare occasions we have guests, I always hit it with dichlor after.

The advantage of this method is no chlorine smell or problems during the week.  MPS has it's own smell, but it's much much less so than chlorine.  So when I get out of the tub, it's like I got out of the bath - no shower needed.

Now, a proper Vermonter method, so that the chlorine level is very low when you soak, should have this same effect.  I just think Nature 2 is easier.

Why not,

The formula is great to know, but keep in mind that it assumes 0ppm in the tub and doesn't account for bather load. So it is always best to test under your spa's normal conditions to determine your daily dose.

That would be different for someone who normally starts out with 3ppm in their tub and has 2 people using the tub daily, versus someone who starts out with 0.5ppm and has 6 people in their tub.

Definitely good information to have as a reference though.

the slick on the top of the water is probably easiest to manage with one of those oil zorb sponges, or scum bugs or whatever....no chemicals added to the water, they just float and soak up the stuff on top...I've heard or read that clarifiers can be VERY hard on sensitive skin. I would think that it's the same with  your hair, but I've been known to be wrong 3 or 4,000,000 times before.  ;)

I would hope that everyone who has posted their photo is truly of themself.  Mine is.
How weird would that be to post someone else's photo?
However, since I am a woman I do reserve the right to lie about my age! ;)
So, you see I can not lie about WHO I am, but only how OLD I am. ;D

I kinda believe that it's you Bama, but I guess I find it a little weird that you would pick that picture out to put on a forum and not a "normal, everyday" picture of yourself.   ::)

But if that is you....I'd love to have a body like that!!!!

I believe that is her normal, everyday picture. I am all for everyday wear of small bathing suits!  :) You just keep that pic right there Bama!
