Besides that, my question is why does every station in the metro area all raise their prices by the exact same aboutn within hours? I know every station in town doesn't get new gas the same day. Isn't that some sort of price fixing?
Brewman:
They raise the price as soon as they get word that the price of the next shipment is going higher. They all seem to rush to the same price, though.
When Jesse Ventura was governor here, he pushed thru a law that requires all places that sell gas to put a minimum markup on it. So prices around here really tend to shadow each other. And no selling at or below cost.

Around here if you look hard you can find $1.95 but $1.99 is common.

What a difference 3 months make. If you look real hard you might find gas for $2.65 per gallon. I saw some for $2.76 this morning, too.
What that is per litre I'll need help from our northern (or anyone else who buys gas by the litre) friends.

Brewman:
It's spring, and with it comes the dreaded driving season demand excuse to jack the prices.
I think I paid $2.65 this morning. That'd be about $.67 per litre.
Pathfinder:
our gas price went up to $1.16 a litre a couple days ago and the store just across the border which Canada supplies is at $2.38 a Gal.
so basically we are paying about $4.30 a Gal Cdn which converts to about $3.77US thats something to complain about
