Couple of neat features. I bought a new computer with it rather than upgrade.  It took me forever to get it on my network and for it to see my other computers and my printer, but it turned out that wasn't Vista's fault, it was the stupid pre installed Norton Internet Security program.

Buying it was a pain, the stupid little geek selling it was a pain, I just wanted to buy it and go. Finally had to tell the little 5h1t that I have been working on computers when his dad was still in Diapers.  ;)

It frequently doesn't pay anymore, hardward prices are at minimal markups these days.

Your right. You can go to Dell or any B & M and get some good deals. I still enjoy doing my own builds mostly so I can hand pick all the parts and pick out a cool case. Newegg and zipzoomfly are a couple of my favorite sites to get parts from.
