Are you brave enough?

I have a friend who beat up a tiger. The tiger was not hurt at all, but it was very brave on her part. She was a volunteer at the zoo (her first day, even), and due to human error, a tiger got back into the enclosure that she and her supervisor were cleaning. The tiger jumped on the guy, sort of "playfully gnawing on his head" as she put it, so she grabbed a shovel and started methodically whapping the tiger on the head, while yelling for help. The tiger apparently tired of the barrage, went back to his cage, and she managed to lock the door behind him. The handler was in the hospital for three weeks, but did really well. She was pretty shook up once it was all over, but she said that at the time she could just tell that the tiger was just acting like a big cat teenager, being more of a pain in the ass than a real threat. If that cat had wanted to kill him, he would have. She (rightfully) thought that if she could just make the game no more fun for him, the tiger would back off, and go back to his food. Pretty clear thinking in a crisis. She was my room mate at the time, and is currently trying to get into vet school. She was volunteering at the zoo to improve her application!!!!

Now that's a friend I wouldn't mind having my back during a tussle. :o

I was on a lion hunt in central Ohio:

It was the only time I've carried a select fire .223 and didn't feel like I had enough gun. Fortunately, it was "sighted" days later several miles south and the safari ended. Got a boatload of overtime though.
Do you like my new buddy
How did you ever manage to get the cat that's been on Google images for years?
Chad:
