Back from vacation

I re-read my last long post in the now-removed eight page thread, and I feel my mind had to have been on vacation. To quote our venerated elder-statesman moderator Bill, "I occasionally post before I think."
I apologize.
I try so very hard to stay neutral and not bash, but even though I started out by simply stating my own experiences, by the second paragraph I was bashing. Big time. I don't think that is a good thing for any of us, so please accept my apology.
