Do they allow you to be armed in the jail area? Our county jail deputies are not. They have access to pepper and tasers, but they do not carry them. No impact weapons on their belts, either. Basically just radio and cuffs.
When patrol officers arrive with overnight guests, they have to disarm using a lockbox in the sallyport.
Just wondering if that's how they do things in your locale.

We do, and I'm on it at the moment, but I dont actaully have a lot of down time here. Usually *IF* I have time to eat it is done while writing records. My late night emergency shifts are sometimes slow, though....and then the internet is a godsend.
