What's up Term?

Spatech_tuo:
Wasn't Texas one of the last to allow open containers while driving, that let you smoke in public and in general are known for a bit of the "don't tell us how to live our lives" mentaility and then I see this:

Looks like a bit of California thinking has hit the Lone Star state. What's next, are they going outlaw gunracks in trucks or stop kids from packing heat in their school backpacks?

no more bar induced Happy 21st birthdays that leave you sticky, broke and confused in Texas!  ;D

East_TX_Spa:
It seems to me that a pretty logical place to look for drunkards might be at a bar or saloon.  I'm not sure if it's proper to arrest them while they are still on the premises unless they are causing a disturbance.

One of my customers is a notorious drunk who goes out drinking almost every night.  But, he always takes a taxi to the bar and back home, usually with some select barmaidens.

I never drink and drive.  If I'm drinking beer at work (never hard liquor), I start early in the morning and then lay off around 3 in the afternoon so that I can sober up before going home.  If I'm drinking at home, I always do it alone in a dark room in the back of the house with a gun close by for protection from my enemies.

The day I'll throw a fit is when they outlaw tobacco chewing, pig kicking, and fence-hole peeping, then I'll be writing to my state senator.

it's a private bar. How can one be charged with Public Intoxication?  This is wrong.
