Wonder how hot they got? Don't they use Balboa?

It appears to be just a faulty temp sensor so I'm sure Jacuzzi will just send out new sensors + pay a flat fee to the dealer for each spa they have to replace them on.

Factory going to pay the travel time to and from each job? Can't charge the customer. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. Would suck to be a Jacuzzi dealer/tech.

I'm just trying to remember what Hot Springs/Watkins did back in the early 2000's when they had a massive heater recall, it was so many years ago but I believe they just shipped the heaters to the local dealers and then paid a flat fee for each one replaced which means the dealer(s) will get shafted cause if you have a customer lets say 50-60 miles from your store and your paying a tech $25 an hour driving a loaded out service van you know there gonna lose money on those situations. I love when the Costco/internet crap brands randomly call my store "We have opportunity for you to service a few of our spas locally, we'll pay you $75 per trip + parts, ohh and the customer is 37 miles from your store" usually they get the hint when I bust out laughing

Even if you charge an outrageous "trip" fee the job will usually take a second trip if brand specific parts are needed cutting out any profit. No Thanks

This is just another reason to but local from a reputable dealer... and why dealers pay their techs peanuts

Service for hot tubs must be a huge loss for company's if the manufacturers are paying so little for warrantied service. $75 barely covers the gas and let alone time and insurance...

That's why 99% of companies now charge a 'trip fee' for warranty service work...manufacturer covers the time + parts onsite but companies collect the trip fee to help offset costs of travel time/gas/etc...I've seen them range from $75-$150 from most companies but ya generally speaking nobody is making profit off warranty work that's for sure, simply covering their costs.
