I hate hot tub shopping.

Yep--weird thing is that Master Pool and Spa is about 4 miles from my house.  So I'm a little conflicted. 

I'm hoping to check out the Marquis Celebrity and Celebrity Elite lines this weekend, as well as the Bullfrog X7.  The Celebrity from Marquis looks pretty nice on paper, but the price keeps creeping up, which is a problem for the WAF. Likewise with the BF. Jacuzzi 235 looks fairly attractive right now.

What's really messed up is that it is not the manufacturer actually doing this.  It's master pool and spa out of MN.  Yet, they tell people at the shows that they are indeed the factory and then show the bbb page and "consumer affairs" reviews (bought and paid for) as their credentials.  However, when someone who got shafted by the show makes a complaint about the factory, their response is that they purchased from an independent dealer and that is who they should take up their problem with.  They want it both ways.  As a manufacturer, they know that this stuff is happening, however they make so much money from these shows that they turn a blind eye.

Look up the reviews/complaints of "master pool and spa" and bbb of "master spas" the manufacturer.

29 complaints closed in last 3 years.  That's insane for a dealer.

Ya I'm in the same market, very easy to sell against, horrible reviews, high pressure sales.  People bring them up and I just point them to their local Google reviews and it's pretty much over at that point.

Ha--we may have talked by phone recently.  The Bullfrog seem awfully nice, just a bit to steep for our budget.

https://aspenspas.com/ Check out the 7' 'Monarch' or if you like a lounge the 'El Dorado' built in the US, better warranty than a Jacuzzi 200 series or Hot Spot and maybe just a few bucks more than those options depending on options/upgrades/etc
