Acrylic shell repair?

My friend just bought a hot tub with a small crack in the acrylic shell. The tub was dropped and it cracked on a previous delivery. He got it for a great deal. The crack is on the outside of the spa, so it won't leak, and it's on the corner over the lip where it meets the skirt. It's a very small crack and it should be concealed by the cover skirt, but he's concerned about it getting bigger over time.

Couple questions:
Will this get larger over time and ever affect the shell integrity?
Can anyone recommend a good repair kit, or service?
I'm located in MA.

Multi Tech sells the product online for repairs. Where it’s not under water he can probably get by with doing the repair him self for under $100.
