Jacuzzi J470 Will not heat up past 100F
« on: May 01, 2020, 08:15:53 am »
I emptied my 2012 Jacuzzi J470 hot tub and when I refilled it, it wont heat up past 100F. The heater icon shows that the heater is on and it did heat the water up from 50F (from my well ) to 100F but not past that.  Also when I first had my hot tub installed the technician showed me a combination of button to push to get into the program which showed up on the LCD screen, he used this to change the 50 amp setting to 60 amps but I can't remember how to do this, does anyone know how?

The 50A/60A setting is only to run the heater while both jets are running and if you are wired for 60A.  It should heat above 100F, assuming you set above that, in several hours with the cover on.

Check your temperature sensor.  At 100.4 degrees it should read 17490 Ohms or room temp 39000 Ohms. If not, replace it.
