I have bought an Arctic Spa with SpaBoy - Salt System - it is still Ok to have it and it is chlorine-based one.

If you are in Canada that one I believe was on the list of the ones being banned.  It’s stupid

CanadianSpaTech:
"It’s stupid".... I Agree. I say as I light up a smoke in my asbestos covered basement...lol

I have reached out to Arctic Spa and waiting for a reply.

sergey:
My Arctic Spa System (Onzen) is using chlorine.
It is not banned in Canada but works the same way as bromine-based systems.
Also, I believe that "pioneer pools" has a similar one for hot tubs.
Another thought: You probably can use bromine salt with this system too - but unofficially :)

It’s on the bottom of list of banned devices.

sergey:
Nop ...
the list has "Arctic Pure Peak Boost Brominating Granules"

Arctic Spa sill sells salt system because it is Chlorine based. :)

Also, Pioneer Pools has one : https://www.pioneerfamilypools.ca/advice/benefits-salt-system/
