Jacuzzi 280 vs 365 or beachcomber 590 hybrid
goatpee:
Hey guys news to the hot tub world. Thinking of purchasing a new hot tub. Is the jacuzzi 365 a big step up from the 280 series? Are the new jets worth the extra money and the warranty as well?. Also recently looked at a beachcomber 590 hybrid. Never really understood the warranty or "guarantee" they offer. Is the beachcomber a superior model with the price increase?
castletonia:
I have no personal experience with Beachcomber. From what I've heard, they are a decent product. Generally speaking, I would consider the Jacuzzi to be a better brand/product.
Only you can decide on whether the J300 jets feel better than the J200 jets. For me personally, I can tell the difference when I sit in a premium model, then a mid-tier model and then an entry level. If the J365 is within your budget, I would wettest and decide for your self. Usually, the longer warranty comes with some better components and other upgrades. I cannot ever recall having a customer wish they bought a less expensive, more basic hot tub.

I would not put Jacuzzi ahead of beachcomber in any category. Equal to at a minimum. But both have proprietary parts.
Beachcomber is insulated better than most when the equipment is outside the tub. This also can produce cooler equipment in hotter weather which increases longevity. And this also makes them easier to work on.

200 series is basic. They sell 245 for about 7500. It will work well but the lighting is boring and jetting, therapy value is mediocre. 300 series much better
goatpee:
They quoted me 10500 for the 275
11000 for the 280
Around 15000 for the 365 I believe
Around 13500 for the beachcomber 590
All these are in Canadian prices keep in mind
And includes the cover steps, delivery and hookup.
What things would they "throw-in"
