Fizzing water

Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone had an answer to why water can seem to fizz for around 30 secs once the jet pumps are turned off.
While the jets are running the spa creates a foam layer, and when the jets are turned off the foam quickly disappears and the water seems to fizz and is cloudy. Then after about 30 seconds it stops and the water gradually becomes clear again after 2 or 3 Minutes. It’s kind of like when you pour a glass of coke and it fizzes and foams a bit after you stop pouring and then becomes clear.

Any ideas?

When you have cloudy water right after the jets turn off that clears in a minute or so, its usually a visual indicator that the TDS (total dissolved solids) is high.  How old is your water?  The fizzing water, possibly caused by low pH, but that's just a guess.

Exactly right, I always say this is a sign you have been doing a good job of taking care of your water.   No matter how could you are, eventually the TDS gets high enough that the only way to get rid of this  is to change the water. Since we do a lot of sitting in our tub without jets running this time of year, we can go a long time without changing the water.

Could the fizzing water be an indicator of the presence of a biofilm? What are the indicators to look for in the case of biofilm?
