Pump making loud noise. 2002 Cameo

Just my luck.  Finally got hot tub back up after moving it for new cover lifter and having to wait for replacement cover lifter.  Now when the big filter pump comes on making loud knocking noise. I have a short video but don't see anyplace to attach it.  It seems to be coming from inside the pump not the motor.

Does not seem to do it when I take filter out.

Sam:
If it stops when you remove the filter, I'd replace the filter and call it a day.  Doesn't really make sense but on a 16 year old hot tub I wouldn't spend a lot of energy or money worrying about it if this solves it.

I wonder something could of got in there?

Sam:
That was my initial thought but if it stops when you pull the filter, that doesn't make sense.  I was just assuming that the filters are super dirty and causing partial cavitation of the pump.
