Filter- Primary for 2004 Marquis Euphoria

My 2004 Marquis Euphoria is sunken into my deck and it is troublesome to get to the motors and drain.  Every time I drain it, I have to loosen the fittings at the 2 pumps to prime. My local dealer just told me that I could simplify the process by using a utility pump to pump the water out from the top and then refill the tub through the "Primary" filter (the tub has two motors and two filters). I asked him which filter is the primary. He said it is the one that sucks water while on low speed or during a heating cycle. Unfortunately, when I checked to see which one is sucking water, it turns out that they both are, regardless of mode. If I stand in my tub and face the 2 filters, does anyone know whether the filter on the right or left is the primary?
