I felt that I had reasons - female, single, living alone, and neighbors from hell that tried to kill each other in a regular basis.

Since this forum is called "General BS Somewhat hot tub related" maybe the fact that my hot tub is about 50 feet from my practice targets in the yard then it fits in.

You certainly have the right to feel the way you do.  Given your statements about needing a gun to protect your family, I was just curious how two people living in similar situations would feel so differently about personal safety.  Let's just let it go.

Great to read. This forum has some great people, and I tend to err on the forgiving side of questionable posts, but lets try to keep this stuff off the main board, and somewhat keep in mind the Somewhat hot tub related theme.  (I'll be much more forgiving in this section)  

By the way, I don't think I've state a position on any matter gun related. I do have an opinion, but I also feel there are people smarter than me on both sides of the issue so we won't solve it here.

I've been online and been a moderator of online forums since the mid 80s, and I've seen many good forums ruined.  When I started the BS section, I mentioned trying to keep religon and politics out, well maybe that should be expanded?

Just keep in mind the somewhat hot tub related title.  Things like closing a message with "God Bless" or Term's picture of him and his rifle are fine and help define character of the poster.

I've had a few complaints about this, and more about the sexual innuendo (which I'm just as guilty of)  Lets tone it down somewhat, especially on the main board, but lets not lose the character that is this forum.
