Hot Spot SX Pump Upgrade? Can it be done?

I was checking the alignment of the motomassage jet last night and noticed that the tube that supplies air was flat when on the high setting.  That doesn't seem like right.  Is there an intake somewhere for the air, perhaps it is blocked by something?
