waiting for the new spa - amazed by my new husband....

So all of you helped us with our decision for our new spa, and wet testing some 12-15 models.  We have bought/ordered a Hot Spring Aria, should be delivered mid February.

After debating where to place it, we decided on the lower end of our back decks.  My husband of 169 days never ceases to amaze me.  he is a PE, yet called on his structural engineer buddy.  The result is probably a bit of overkill for deck supports.  He has dug holes (my son helped), placed re-bar (whatever that is) and made cement piers.  They are now connected to wood supports only a little bit more to do to finish up.  Then he will do the electrical work.   My job is to find some decorative touches once all is said and done.

Sharing these photos because I can and I could watch this man work for hours.  :-)  I just love him.  Both our backs will love the new Aria when all is installed and ready to go!

I can't wait until all in installed and we are enjoying our maiden soak!

Quickbeam:
Congratulations on your new hot tub (and your new husband)!!!

donnaduck:
Ahh, thank you.  Still more excited about the husband, but rather excited anticipating our new hot tub! :-)

Topline Mike:
Congratulations!  Looks like he built a train bridge.   ;D

Rather have overkill.  I am only going up twenty inches, supported by 4x 12 beam and 2x10 joints one foot on center. supported by ledger attached to the house.  The beam is supported by 3 pilings of 2.75 in pipe drilled 7-10 feet into the ground.
