hot springs sovereign ii waterfall replacement help needed

The LED lights on my hot springs sovereign II waterfall have stopped working.  I purchased the new waterfall assembly (lights are built in).  I figured once I got the new assembly I could see how it's attached and put it in.   I assumed that it would just snap out but it has a nut on the bottom of it that attaches it to the tub.  Seems like a simple enough concept but how do you get to the nut on the bottom of the waterfall when it's assumably attached to the tub on the inside?
