Jacuzzi LCD Timeout/Backlight off option

We notice at times, the control LCD on our J470 is HOT at times.   The backlight to the LCD is constantly on, bright.  Sometimes it seems overly hot, not where you cannot touch it, but where it almost hurts to.  Has anyone else noticed this?  I'd think a backlight timeout would be a good thing.   I wonder if that will ruin the cover sooner than it should, at least in that area.
