We can't keep the water clear and I (full sized female) float out of every seat. We previously had an Altimar and we liked everything about it. That purchase was in 2001. Please wet test every tub model that interests you and stay away from Sundance.

Why should people stay away from Sundance? Just because you don't like the Optima? And because you can't keep the water clear? That's ridiculous. Sundance makes a good tub.
You said yourself your previous tub was the Sundance Altamar and you liked it. You haven't said there is anything defective with the Optima. All you've said is that it didn't suit you and you can't keep the water clear. And because of this others should stay away from Sundance? Sorry, I don't think so.

It held up very well with all the snow we had here in upstate NY last winter.  I definitely recommend this product but be prepared to spend a day to put it together.

Thanks so much! Your setup looks great!
