Spoledrotten, this is a BRILLIANT idea (I took the liberty of bolding some of your quote)! My Marquis Spirit steps are fully enclosed so lighting underneath is impossible, those step do need to have some sort of subdued lighting around for when we step out in the dark so will be thinking about that before the deck is laid and the spa goes in.

I'll try to remember to take a couple of shots of the steps at dusk this evening to post for others to see if interested. I have shots of them in the "show us your hot tub" pics, but I don't have any pics of them lit. I ran an outdoor on/off toggle switch to the corner of the gazebo for ease of operation.

Apologies to NewGuy... but I do believe we have hijacked his thread... :-[ Can a mod/admin transfer these pics into the "Show us your Hot Tub" section?  Might be more appropriate and also easier to find for future reference. Perhaps a thread of its own?
