 It's a little more than just running a hose to the footwell for the ozone to work properly.  I can't remember but If you follow the 2" hose coming off your heater there should be a 3/4" line coming off it somewhere possibly?   There should be one or two nipples on the ozonator with 1/4" vinyl tube might be yellow now, that should lead to the mazzi injector.   If you can post a pic of the equipment area.
