Does Jacuzzi remote come standard?

Does anyone know if the Jacuzzi J-1000 remote comes standared with the 2012 J400 series hot tubs?  Is it useful and worth buying if not standard, e.g., useable to check hot tub operation from inside house?

The remote for 2012 Jacuzzi 400 series models is standard on stereo equipt spas only.  It is available to purchase as an accessory.  While not a neccesity, it is kind of cool to have.

I seldom use my Remote. It eats Batteries big time. It is cool but be ready to keep a big supply of batteries.
