On a very sad note...
Steve:
I received word yesterday that a good friend of mine passed away in his sleep.
Rob was 40 years old. He just got married last month and they were expecting their first child this April. I went to school with Rob in Jr High and we played hockey together. About 5 years ago, he came to work for me at Beachcomber and later moved out of the city to start his own business. He was an awesome guy with a great sense of humor and full of life.
Him and I talked on Monday and we were going to get together yesterday for lunch. He was so excited about his business, his wife and the fact he was going to be Dad! We joked about that...
He passed away Wednesday due to complications with a liver disease he's had since he was very young. There was no sign of this happening and on Wednesday morning, his wife tried waking him up, but couldn't.
40 year old's aren't suppose to die in their sleep. I've never been much for religion but if there is a God, why take away someone in their prime especially when he just got married and their child is due in 5 months. I just don't get it...
The service is Monday and it will be one of the toughest days I've ever had...
Steve
spaman--:
Steve,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Rob.Nothing anyone can say can ease the pain of his loss, as this is the natural grieving process. The only words I can try and dispell is that I know there is a God and he has a plan, while we dont always understand it, šsometimes our losses are great for us here on earth. the deceased I believe are the lucky ones as they are in a place far better than we can ever imagine. Im certain as šhe was a great person , Rob is in the right place God has created for him, all the while he will watch over his family and friends that mourn his loss. I will put you and Robs family in our church prayer chain. Hang in there šbuddy!
Even though you dont know him please remember "God is good all the time"
Brookenstein:
I'm so sorry for your loss Steve. My thoughts are with you and his wife.
HotTubMan:
My condolences to you and his family. Truly a sad and unfortunate turn of events.
Rayman:
My sympathies go out to you and Rob's Family. Everyone is always too young to die, but this one hits home.
Ray
