Halloween Poll
Brewman:
I was out last night on patrol, and it was QUIET. We saw very few kids out, it's really declined since I was that age. I covered a neighborhood where I grew up, and it was suprisingly quiet- when I was of that age, it was wall to wall kids out trick or treating.
Only a couple minor vandalism reports.
Mrs. Brewman said that our neighborhood, which is out of my patrol zone, was way slower than in the past few years too. We sure have a lot of candy bars left over.
JcDenton:
We had 97 kids in our little neighbourhood. It's just terrific to see the little ones all dressed up! The weather was unseasonably warm last night which really helped! (Usually the kids have to wear a jacket/parka over their costume to keep warm - takes away from the overall effect) - but not last night!
I also kept track of UNICEF requests - had 21 - I politely refused them all. How do you prepare for that? Maybe if one kid was the designated UNICEF collector for the neighbourhood, then ok - but you won't see me donating over 21 different times.
Anyways, it was a good night that brought lots of smiles.

We get less and less kids every year. It's a shame too, as I have a huge adult halloween bash every year and usually leave the decorations up for trick or treaters. (Fog machines, music, mummys, skeletons, graveyard, lightening effects...the works).
Last year, I got 4 kids brave enough to make the trek down the long driveway.
This year? Screw it. I shut the house down, and went out for bloody marys and sushi.
Brookenstein:
The entire family trick or treated even the Dalmation dressed as Darth Vadar, so I just left a bucket full of candy on the porch. But when we were home, I probably had 20. My street only had 4 or 5 houses handing out candy... dissapointing, since we walked up hill. I don't like exercise. Especially carrying an 18mo lion.
Chas:
We had 300 visitors, gave out 400+pounds of candy, and sold/consumed almost 400 In 'n Out Burgers.
