Jacuzzi J480 50A to 60A Conversion Question
d00nut:
What Jacuzzi Jim means, is that it will work, but it won't be calibrated correctly. You need to set up the electrical preferences through the J-1000 control after all the electrical hook up is done. For instance, if the spa was hooked up to a 50A before and you have a 60A now:
Spa will have power for either. However, the Spa will not run the heater if both jet pump are on if it is set up for a 50A. This is regardless of what power is coming into the spa, 50A or 60A. That is why you need to set it up through the J-1000 control so you tell your spa to run the right power hookup.
Talk to your local dealer, they should be able to help you out.

Tleo, I can't comment on the 60a change except to say check out your dealer, they can do the change easily. What I can comment on is the tub itself. I have the J-470 model and it is awesome! People come over and all they can talk about is how nice it feels and how good the massage is. Very powerful in all seats, and the controls are located in good spots. It is a well thought out and well made tub. You will love it for years to come!
