The Navy is simply a back up.

IMO, he is no more danger then setting in port at home with the rest of us looking over our shoulders for a terrorist. At least there he will be more on guard, better armed and better prepared to deal with it.

I realize that you are his Mother and no amount of logic will lessen your worry and apprehension but your pride should give you strength.

If you would like get me his email and I will stay in touch if he is able....

God bless you, SpaHappy and your son. I pray every morning as my kids leave for school that God watches over them when I am not able to. I will pray for the safety of your son and for your peace of mind. Be proud of him and proud that you have raised a son willing to put his own safety on the line for our country.

Hang in there, Spahappy!  I know mother's worry, it's what they do, but he is still in my thoughts and prayers.  I feel quite sure he will be home, safe and sound, in no time!
