Cameo Topside Problems
« on: April 13, 2010, 06:42:04 pm »
I used to be a tech for Jacuzzi and Coleman (maxx), I'm am not anymore but I have a friend of my moms who has an 02 cameo inherited w a new home purchase.  she is having trouble with the topside.  Most buttons are not functioning.  this is what it does: Jets one will activate pump and lower the temp.  jets two will activate the pump and light and will raise the set temp and change the mode.  the rest of the buttons do not function.  I believe it is the topside as all automated functions still work just no user initiated commands.   I have reset the power, i have unplugged the topside, cleaned connections, still nothing.  Normally I would plug in a new topside, but don't have access to one with out purchasing.  I know we could call the sundance dealer and have them come out and troubleshoot but I'm trying to help her out, and  get any ideas if I missed something.  i really feel it is the topside.  any help is appreciated.

Thank you Jim,
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Unplug the remote control panel before proceeding further.  They will sometime interfere or cause unual events to occur.

If i unplug the auxillary panel and it does not change, probably a bad topside?

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.
