Hot Tub Buying Guide

How high to fill a hot tub

Maybe your hot tub just arrived. Maybe you needed to empty the tub for a good cleaning. Maybe you just need to add some water. Whatever the reason, you need to fill your hot tub and are wondering just how high to fill it. It is important for the water in the hot tub to be at the appropriate level for it to run properly without risk of damage. You will need to occasionally add water due to evaporation, splashing and just loss that results from the in and out of your soakers.

To be sure you are filling the tub to the appropriate level, please check the manufacturer's instructions and recommendations. This level is typically a few inches about the jets. Always insure that the jets are below the water line.

There may even be a mark denoting the recommended water level line. Of course, the water level will rise once bodies enter the tub and fall when they leave, but you do want to be sure the water level is at the appropriate depth even when the tub is empty.

Fill it up, heat it up and get on in.
