Hot Tub Buying Guide

Hot Tub Prices

Hot tubs can be a great addition to your house. With all of the different types of hot tubs out there, it can be a difficult decision to pick the right one for you. Hot tubs generally cost anywhere from $2,500 to $20,000. Obviously, the more money you spend, the better quality and more features you will get. And sometimes, a hot tub can add a little extra price value to your home. It all depends on what you want and what you are willing to pay.

For hot tubs priced under $4,500, you can get the base model of practically any brand. The main price differences come from the difference in hot tub brands. These hot tubs typically can seat around 2-4 people, and are made of different types of materials. The cheapest ones are made of vinyl. These can be inflated and deflated with air whenever you want to use them. And the most expensive are usually in-ground and made of quality materials. In between, you'll find many portable units.

The next price level of hot tubs is priced between $4,500 and $6,000. These hot tubs almost all have at least four seats, including some that have full-body jet systems. The full-body jet systems feature many jets aligned along a seat that contours to the body for more relaxation.

The next step features the more luxurious hot tubs. The $6,000 to $8,000 range has hot tubs that can sit more people, more full-body jet systems, and more advanced technology. There are more jets used in these hot tubs. They have more settings for massages. Some will feature built-in lights for nighttime use.

The most expensive hot tubs, costing more than $8,000, are the most luxurious because of all of the extra features. Some of these expensive hot tubs can seat 8 or more people comfortably. And some even have most of the tub devoted to the new Swim Spa, which lets one person swim in place and have room enough for four people. These, of course, are made of the best materials, so they are guaranteed to last longer.

But, these features are only the main hot tub. There are plenty of options you can add to your hot tub to fit your needs. Some hot tub companies offer outdoor televisions and stereos that are built-in to the hot tub and pop up when you want to use them. Other features include additional lights, gazebos, bars and stools that all can be attached or to go around the hot tub. Also, more jets and massage settings are available on almost all hot tubs. Adding any of these features to any hot tub will raise the costs significantly. Some companies may add select features for free to compete for your business.

With all of the different prices and features that you have to choose from, shopping for a hot tub can be very exciting. Even with a low budget for your hot tub, there are still many features you will be able to enjoy. With a rather large budget, your hot tub can be as lavish and extravagant as you want it. No matter what your budget is, buying a hot tub can bring great joy and relaxation.
