The Real Spa Specialist

Anyone who cares to can freely distribute this to "Any" interested party. This is definitely not a "Family Feud" or "Vendetta"; it is "Straight up Business Issues.” We feel it is only fair to the General Public to disclose what is going on "behind the scenes" at "The Spa Specialist.” We have given this, whatever he is, over ten years of "Grace" to clean up his act and take care of business and he has done nothing but make empty promises and "Shine-us-on"!!! We do not have money for a Lawyer and we feel it is only fair that the public be aware of this mess!!! Let me introduce myself. My Name is John Barnett Gruver. I am James Arjuna's [AKA James Campbell Gruver] Brother AND alleged {and I do mean "ALLEGED"] 25% owner of "The Spa Specialist"!!! We have many choice words to describe my [Very Ashamed to say] Brother that I shall not use here. I will say this:  "Mr. Credibility, Integrity, Honesty, and Substance!" as he sells himself as is nothing less and nothing more than an out and out "Thief"!!!  He has owed my Wife and I $30,000.00 plus and growing with interest on top of interest for the last eight out of the ten years that "The Spa Specialist" has been in business! Ha Ha If you want to call it a business???  We put up $15,000.00 up front, as a "Loan from an Officer"!  Jim still to this day will not acknowledge the rules of the game and concede that he owes the Principal AND INTEREST on that money with the interest set at the going rate at the time the loan was made.  Like idiots, we let him use one of our credit cards to purchase from Phoenix Spas. When we told him our bank records [credit card statements, which we still have, if anyone cares to look them over, as well as statements from Jim stating what we were paid] . . . show a $12,500.00+/- principal due as well as $8,000.00+/- interest due at the time he was confronted. He still to this day will not recognize this Debt, let alone pay us a penny towards it! The Credit Card “Loans” are also accruing interest on top of interest. We quit updating our Spread Sheet, as it looked obvious we will never see a dime! I have legal proof of all of this or I would not be disclosing this to an open forum due to the "Age of Litigation,” "Defamation of Character" Statutes! The only thing nice I have to say about this "Creature", is that "It" or if you want to call "It" "Him", is:  "Jim, you are so crooked, so crooked, that when you die they are going to have to Screw You Into The Ground Like A Cork Screw!’ We are dealing with a "Megalomaniac" who's Ego (head) is so big that a number nine washtub would not fit over his head! Without a doubt!!! I have repeatedly confronted him with a plan for us to bring all of our records together and do the adding and subtracting and get down to the TRUTH!!  His answer is "Forget it, go to you know where!!!" Sounds like a real sweetie huh??? The above is just the Debtor issues! As Ha Ha "Stock Holders"  [anybody want to buy 900 shares or 25% of Mr. Arjuna's going concern? please advise?] in "The Spa Specialist" we have never been given the right to vote; we have never received as much as a balance sheet; we have never ever received a "Quarterly Report"; we have never seen any income tax returns from the "Business???"; we have never received any documentation giving us any personnel income tax write offs or any such benefits; we have never seen a "Penny" of any profits!!  It would appear as if we are classified as "Non-Person Nothings That Do Not Exist!" by the "Illustrious Mr. Arjuna!!!" We have literally "Begged, and Begged, and Begged . . . ad infinitum [ad nausium -> vomitorium]!!!" . . . . in return we get nothing but the following impertinent, irrelevant, ridicules "NONSENSE"!!! Jim's refrains [answers]:  "We LOVE YOU!!!", "Why are you so angry?", "Why do you hate us?", "What did we ever do to you to deserve this?", "If you want any 'Reports' YOU PAY FOR THEM!!!!!", "All you care about is 'Money'!" . . . . "We work our ass of and all you do is Complain"! . . ."You are insane!" . . . and so on and so forth and on and on . . . . never ever giving us what we ask for which is what all "Stockholders" have a legal right to receive!!! Mr. Arjuna states that he and his Wife, Sandy, have not drawn a "Salary" for over two years!  Hum???  Exactly how do you pay your mortgage, buy food, gasoline, necessities for life, etc.  Rob Banks???  Obviously you are receiving income-in-kind which is the same thing as "Ordinary Income" and has to be reported as such to the IRS, otherwise you are doing a Mafia trick variously known as "Skimming", "Tapping-the-till", "Cooking-the-books", or officially (legally) "EMBEZZLEMENT" . . . "STRAIGHT UP"!!! We have been "Embezzled,” and continue to be. I am working on a report to the IRS, which may or may not produce a damn thing???  He is a small fish!  They, unfortunately, may just say "Due to the fact that there are so few people involved and so little money involved, we do not have the Army of agents to "Police" every nickel and dime operation out there so we focus are resources on the "Enron's" and "Tyco's" where we haul in "WAY" more money than our "Cost's to collect!!!"  Who knows??? It is bad enough that he took and is taking my money; he also took and is taking an innocent party's money that is my Wife's money. After all, it is half hers!!! She is the one who discovered the credit card errors! I could go on and on and I think I have said enough for anyone to "Get-My-Drift" so to speak.

John I hope  you are able to get this resolved. I get from the frustration in your voice that this has caused significant problems in your life and with your familly.

Jim always talked about his brother the Engineer (I assume you are that brother) but he led us to believe you were part of the flock. While we may snicker a bit that there is yet another hole in the Spa Deceptionists' fairy tale this is too sad of a commentary to take pleasure in reading. I have 4 brothers and it pains me to see the manner in which this bond is cast aside.

Jon, thank you for sharing, and I sincerely hope that you find some satisfying solution. I learned about Jim here, and as a completely non involved spectator, I'd find my blood boiling reading about his antics, so I can only imagine your position. Given the amount of money that you have lost, and given the number of customers that he has screwed, I'd like to believe that suing could be a reality- somewhere, there must be a lawyer who would help you. I cannot believe that someone would treat anyone that way, let alone family. That is horrible. Good luck.....

Jim's brother has a publically listed phone number. I called, I breifely spoke with Johns wife who confirmed I had reach John Gruver's home. She further confirmed that  John Gruver is the  brother of one  Jim Arjuna who  runs "The Spa Specialist".  I was polite and told them I was a member of an internet hot tub comunity and wanted to confirm that John Gruver did indeed write and post the letter.  John confirmed this.   I spoke with John for about 5 minutes.   John was upset, angry and hurt.  I feel really bad for John.

I hope John is able to get this resolved and get what is rightly his.   Jim brags about his wonderful ranch/farm and travels, about the guitars and things he buys, and how is the utlimtate in integrity and truth, and to find this out just makes me ill.

Is it Hayward/fremont area......or moreso Sunnyvale/Menlo park/Palo Alto?  Another city across the San Mateo bridge...which is what I actually tracked a few years back originating at a public library(when I was tracking things) but can't remember the name of that city.
