« on: February 22, 2008, 07:51:10 pm »
I'm 6'5" - I want a tub so bad - But most tubs are not made for us long people >:(.  I was about to buy a Grande - Because its the only tun I fit in - But its not relaxing - I can layback without floating around and there are also no leg jets

Please - Point me in the right direction....

I would look at the Jacuzzi j-465.  I just sold one to a very tall man. I think he was at least 6' 5".  It has the longest lounged of all the Jacuzzi products.  Also try the D-1 chairman 2. It is also known for a large lounge

I sold a spa last year at the fair, anyway he is 7'2+ he tried quite a few spas, he even wet tested at the fair which was a first for us.  He first tried the Jacuzzi J-365 then went across the street from us to the Sundance dealer, we face each other.  He tried their wet Optima, then he came back and test soaked  our J-470.  He walked away with a new J-470.  Not saying this is the spa for you, but worth a look.  Both the J-470 and Optima are non loungers though.

Loungers and tall people are not always a good mix, the Jacuzzi J-465 has a very long lounge may be worth a look also, if you have to have the lounge??

I am 6'5" and own a Tundra model made by Arctic Spas.  I have lots of extra room and the nice thing about the spa is it has a couple seats that are perfect for someone my size but the other seats are perfect for my wife, who is much shorter.  If you have a Arctic dealership nearby you should definetely check one out.  Im sure that there are other brands that offer a model that will fit your size, it may take a little extra research.  You can search for your nearest Arctic dealership online via http://www.arcticspas.com.

Check out these guys,

http://www.pacificspas.ca/

When we were looking for our tub I remember them as being very deep and well made.  Pathfinder one of the dealers on this site sells them, he may be able to help you out if you have any questions

I don't have one, but someone said that the Caldera Geneva can fit taller people.

I'm 6'8 and I fit in any of the Hot Spring loungers.  The Envoy is my favorite.

I would if you have not already decided give the D1 Lotus Bay or D1 Sarena a try as they work well for larger type people. It is worth the effort.

Artesian Pelican Bay seems to be a large set-up.

Absolutely.  I keep one on the floor at all times for more reasons than its popularity with customers.  ;)

The Envoy is going to be my next tub after my '98 Bengal goes... which should be in about 2018 or 2023.

I suppose I could chime in with the Bullfrog 662 or the Sundance Maxxus.

Both have loungers well suited to tall folks.  Both also have a lot of open seating and room to stretch out.

SO Far - not too good..  I tried the spas at paradise Spas - Great spas, nice loungers witrh good foot jets - But NOt a fit for me...  I'm off try the Caldera spa, then Jacuzzi and I have a wet test at a spa maker called Down East/master spas... Via a copmpany called West Chester spas..  I'll find one yet

I'm looking for a spa I can lay back and relax..  I dont want to have to hold myself in place and I dont want to have to twist my body to fit in...  What I ment to say about the Grande is

I can NOT layback without floating around and there are also no leg jets

Two of those three are very good options IMO (from a manufacturer standpoint that is). Keep wet testing until you find one that is right for you.
